Your nature resort, where nothing has changed in the last 10000 years.

A house. A professional kitchen. A covered BBQ. Two saunas. Three fireplaces. Eleven bedrooms. Twenty-two beds.

Located in Northern Finland, on the largest lake in Europe, the Taiga School is a 'wow accommodation' to have an unforgettable week with a group of 10 to 22 people. You wake up in the morning and you turn on the sauna. During the time that the sauna reaches the right temperature, you drink a cup of coffee from the luxury coffee machine on the veranda. After fifteen minutes the sauna is up to temperature and a special morning ritual begins.

After twenty minutes in the sauna you walk barefoot to the jetty. The morning mist hangs over the lake and a pair of wild swans float quietly on the lake. In the Taiga-school your friends and family members wake up, here on the lake it is quiet. You breathe deeply three times and get into the cold lake - sweaty from the sauna. Your breath stops, but after five times of calm breathing you experience the invigorating energy of Finnish nature. The view. The water. A delightful start to the day.

You walk back to the Taiga-school and in the large kitchen someone has already switched on the oven for fresh bread. You get dressed in your own room and when you are dressed in the dining room, family members and friends have gathered for a breakfast with fresh rolls, eggs, coffee, porridge, granola and fruit.

After breakfast, everyone can do what they want: boating, fishing, a walk through the silent forest, yoga in the yoga room, on the trampoline or a trip to one of the national parks or the town of Ruka for tobogganing or skiing (winter).

In the evening you can cook together under the covered BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer.

Of course you end the day with conversations at the fireplace.

The Taiga-school is a spacious accommodation with a huge garden so that everyone can go their own way, but the living room with the fireplace is the meeting place where everyone is automatically stuck.

Ideal for groups of 10 to 22 people who want to combine rugged nature with comfort.

We welcome you with your family, your friends or your yoga school.
